Today we waved goodbye as Coby and the 1986 Honda Prelude, which Megan affectionately nicknamed "The Beast", moved away. This is a picture of Grandpa Bud, Megan and the Beast after surviving Meg's first stick-shift lesson. The Beast was originally Aunt Lori's car, then Grandpa Bud bought it from her, later loaning it permanently to us for a 'teen' car in 2002. After Marah left for college, Coby bought it from my dad - keeping it in the family, sort of, since Coby lived with us for almost a year. It's sad to look out the front window and not see the Honda parked at the curb. Early this morning, with the Beast packed with all of Coby's belongings, they made the 800-mile move to Utah County. Farewell Beast, you served us well! And best wishes to Coby on his new job adventure in Utah!!!

Now let us all pray that they will make it safely to Utah, without either:
a) the Beast finally giving up the ghost
or b)some road-raged driver shooting Coby because the Beast can't go over 55.
